Spring Board SpringBoard is a comprehensive curricular support program built upon national standards necessary for success in college. This is a new county initiative that all Language Arts teachers are fitting into the curriculum of the year. This is not meant to be curriculum that stands on its own or is done as a separate unit, rather the material is going to be threaded into the reading material that we already cover throughout the year.RAP: Reading, Analysis, and Paraphrasing Required Supplies: |

- Cell phones are not to be in sight at any time during class. The result will be the confiscation of that cell phone for the period and a detention… Also a polite call home.
- Any student not dressed appropriately in class will be given a detention and sent to Internal Suspension immediately until the problem is fixed.

Period Number
Assignment
- The school administration has also asked us to have all students write the J. P. T. Pledge of Honor on all tests, quizzes, and Homework assignments to verify that the student has not cheating or plagiarized the material they are saying is his or her own work. Any student that fails to write this Pledge on a test, quiz, or homework assignment may suffer a deduction of points on his or her paper.
Broward County Grading Scale:
All class assignments, homework, quizzes, projects, and oral presentations will be graded using a point system. Rubrics will accompany most assignments for students to track grades and achievement. It is the responsibility of the students to save work and track grades and progress by using the Pinnacle system. The Broward County Grading Scale (below) will be used to assign a letter grade to any work in this class.
